Delaware High School Soccer - Fairwinds Christian toppled by Greenwood Mennonite
September 12, 2024: Bear, DE 19701 Greenwood Mennonite Flames (Greenwood, DE) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Fairwinds Christian Knights (Bear, DE), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Greenwood Mennonite advances its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Flames travel to Holly Grove Christian (Westover, MD) to clash with the Eagles in a Delaware Valley Christian Athletic test on Monday, September 16. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-2. Holly Grove Christian lost 9-0 in their recent non-league test against Worcester Prep (Berlin, MD)
The Knights now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Chestertown Christian Academy for a Delaware Valley Christian Athletic test on Tuesday, September 17. Fairwinds Christian will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 2-1 league win over Calvary Christian Academy (Dover, DE). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.
