Match Story

North Carolina High School Volleyball - Montgomery Central tips Anson

September 12, 2024: Troy, NC 27371

In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Anson Bearcats.

The Timberwolves (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans enter the Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Central Davidson got by North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bearcats meet the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) in a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Anson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Colts enter the challenge with a 12-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC).
