Maine High School Football - Thornton Academy trounces Bangor
September 12, 2025: Saco, ME 04072 In Friday's non-league match, the host Thornton Academy Trojans football squad scored a decisive 42-7 victory over the Bangor Rams.
The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Bedford (Bedford, NH). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Bedford walloped Nashua South (Nashua, NH), 34-14, in a league battle.
The Rams now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Lawrence for a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. Bangor will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 14-13 league loss to Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
