In Friday's league match, the host Chapin Huskies football squad scored a good 49-20 triumph over the Horizon Scorpions.

With the win, Chapin advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Huskies travel to Andress (El Paso, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A-2 Region I District 1 battle on Friday, September 19. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Andress won 55-0 in their recent league battle against Jefferson (El Paso, TX)

The Scorpions now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Hanks for a 5A-2 Region I District 1 battle on Friday, September 19. Horizon will play a Knights team coming off a 31-28 non-league loss to Americas (El Paso, TX). The Knights record now stands at 1-1.
