The Stratford Red Devils football squad scored 30 points and limited the visiting Cheney Tech Chargers to 0 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Friday.

The Red Devils now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Bethel for a South-West test on Friday, September 19. Stratford will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 42-0 non-league loss to Wilton (Wilton, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Cheney Tech moves to 0-1 on the season. The Chargers travel to Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT (Meriden, CT) to face the in a Connecticut Tech challenge on Friday, September 19. The go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Wilcox Tech/Kaynor RVT won 34-13 in their recent non-league challenge against Bassick (Bridgeport, CT)
