In Friday's non-league game, the Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR) football team overcame the visiting Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR), by a tally of 25-7.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Pleasant Hill Billies (Pleasant Hill, OR) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 19. Douglas will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Billies enter the game with a 1-1 record after their 33-20 non-league win over Brookings-Harbor (Brookings, OR).
