Maryland High School Football - Fort Hill thwarted by Dunbar

September 12, 2025: Cumberland, MD 21502

Dunbar Poets (Baltimore, MD) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD), 30-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Dunbar advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Poets travel to Forest Park (Baltimore, MD) to confront the Foresters in a Class 2A1A South match on Friday, September 19. The Foresters come into the match with a record of 2-0. Forest Park won 24-8 in their recent non-league battle against Carver Vo-Tech (Baltimore, MD)

The Sentinels now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Southern for a Class 1A West match on Friday, September 19. Fort Hill will meet a Rams squad coming off a 49-0 league win over Hancock (Hancock, MD). The Rams record now stands at 1-1.
