September 12, 2025: Brockwell, AR 72517 The Quitman Bulldogs football squad scored 64 points and limited the host Izard County Cougars to 28 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Mineral Springs for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Quitman will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 51-0 non-league loss to Fordyce (Fordyce, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, Izard County drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Melbourne (Melbourne, AR) to meet the Bearkatz in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. The Bearkatz enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Melbourne won 30-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR)
