In Friday's league game, the Sterling Black Bears (Sterling, KS) football squad were winner over the host Moundridge Wildcats (Moundridge, KS), by a margin of 27-15.

The Black Bears now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Inman for a Heart of America outing on Friday, September 19. Sterling will clash with a Inman Teutons squad coming off a 32-27 non-league win over Trinity Academy (Wichita, KS). The Inman Teutons record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Moundridge drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Medicine Lodge (Medicine Lodge, KS) to clash with the Indians in a non-league outing on Friday, September 19. The Indians enter the game with a record of 1-1. Medicine Lodge lost 34-21 in their recent league game against Chaparral (Anthony, KS)
