Louisiana High School Football - Newman can't hold off Riverside Academy
September 12, 2025: New Orleans, LA 70115 Riverside Academy Rebels (Reserve, LA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football squad nudge the host Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA), 19-13 in a non-league match.
The Rebels (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Prairieville (Prairieville, LA). The Hurricanes come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Prairieville tipped Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA), 21-14, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Greenies play the Wright (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 19. Newman will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 24-12 non-league loss to Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Westwego, LA).
