The Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) football knocked off the visiting Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX), 31-16 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Wolverines now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stratford for a non-league outing on Friday, September 19. Texico will clash with a Elks squad coming off a 61-0 non-league win over Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Elks record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Olton drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Ropes (Ropesville, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, September 19. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 2-1. Ropes won 55-13 in their recent non-league outing against Sudan (Sudan, TX)
