St. Joseph Falcons (Metuchen, NJ) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Union Farmers (Union, NJ), 28-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, St. Joseph advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Falcons host Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ) to confront the Minutemen in a non-league match on Saturday, September 20. The Minutemen come into the match with a record of 2-1. Elizabeth won 36-29 in their recent league match against Westfield (Westfield, NJ)

Coming up next, the Farmers confront the Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) in a Big Central - American Gold match, on Saturday, September 20. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the match with a 1-2 record after their 36-29 league loss to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ).
