California High School Football - Castlemont thwarted by Santa Cruz
September 12, 2025: Oakland, CA 94605 Santa Cruz Cardinals (Santa Cruz, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Castlemont Knights (Oakland, CA), 22-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Santa Cruz upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals host McClymonds (Oakland, CA) to meet the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, September 19. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 0-2. McClymonds lost 17-0 in their recent non-league match against Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA)
Coming up next, the Knights play the Balboa Buccaneers (San Francisco, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 27. Castlemont will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
