North Carolina High School Soccer - Cape Fear Academy knocks off Wilmington Christian Academy
September 12, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28405 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC) and the host Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots (Wilmington, NC), saw Cape Fear Academy's soccer squad knock off Wilmington Christian Academy by a score of 3-0.
The Hurricanes (5-4) will now prepare for their test against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Saints come into the NCISAA Coastal Plain test with a 11-0 record. In their last test, John Paul II Catholic nipped Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA), 5-0, in a non-league test.
The Patriots now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bethel Christian Academy for a NCCSA AA District 4 - East Region test on Monday, September 15. Wilmington Christian Academy will meet a Trojans team coming off a 2-2 non-league New Bern Christian Academy (New Bern, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 0-4.
