September 12, 2025: Marrero, LA 70072 A.J. Ellender Patriots (Houma, LA) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host L.W. Higgins Hurricanes (Marrero, LA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, A.J. Ellender improves its record to 7-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to East Jefferson (Metairie, LA) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 1-3. East Jefferson won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against New Orleans Charter Science & Math (New Orleans, LA)
The Hurricanes now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frederick A. Douglass for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. L.W. Higgins will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Warren Easton (New Orleans, LA). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-4.
