The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders volleyball team (Raleigh, NC), was beaten 2-0 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Assumption Rockets (Louisville, KY)

The Rockets (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY). The Valkyries enter the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Sacred Heart was beaten by Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Crusaders meet the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) in a Triangle Six 6A/7A contest, on Tuesday, September 16.
