In Friday's non-league contest, the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) volleyball team overcame the host University Trojans (Waco, TX), by a count of 3-1.

The Cadets (10-15) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton (Hamilton, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 20-2 record. In their last contest, Hamilton notched a victory over Lipan (Lipan, TX), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Trojans battle the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 battle, on Tuesday, September 23. University will attempt to improve on its 8-17 season record.
