Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA) and the host Norfolk Christian Ambassadors (Norfolk, VA), observed North Cross's volleyball team hold off Norfolk Christian by a count of 3-2.

The Raiders (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA). The Saints enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy was tipped by Episcopal (Alexandria, VA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Ambassadors meet the Wake Prep Academy Guardians (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 13. Norfolk Christian will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record. The Guardians enter the contest with a 10-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC).
