In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Tempe Prep Knights volleyball squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions.

Next up, the Knights face the Maryvale Prep Matador (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 16. Tempe Prep will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record. The Matador go into the game with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Anthem Prep (Anthem, AZ).
