With the win, Franklin-Simpson upgrades its record to 3-8 on the year. The Wildcats host Butler County (Morgantown, KY) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 20. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-12.

The Rebels now own a 0-15 record. They play next when they host Hopkinsville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 18. Todd County Central will play a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Caldwell County (Princeton, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 12-8.
