Georgia High School Softball - Eastside bounces Monroe Area
September 13, 2023: Covington, GA 30014 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) and the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), witnessed Eastside's softball squad tip Monroe Area by a count of 7-2.
The Eagles now sport a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Troup County for a non-league match on Friday, September 15. Eastside will face a Tigers squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to LaGrange (LaGrange, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Monroe Area moves to 4-11 on the season. The Purple hurricanes host Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a 3A Region 8 match on Thursday, September 14. The Lions go into the match with a record of 8-7. Hebron Christian Academy lost 3-0 in their recent league match against Franklin County (Carnesville, GA)
