Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Augusta Christian Lions (Martinez, GA), 42-19 in a league battle.

With the win, Porter-Gaud improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Cyclones travel to Bishop England (Charleston, SC) to play the Battling Bishops in a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. The Battling Bishops go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Bishop England won 21-14 in their recent non-league battle against Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC)

The Lions now have a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Laurence Manning Academy for a SCISA 4A battle on Friday, September 20. Augusta Christian will play a Swampcats team coming off a 42-15 non-league loss to Wilson Hall (Sumter, SC). The Swampcats record now stands at 2-2.
