September 13, 2024: Cherokee, IA 51012 The Cherokee Washington Braves were victorious over the visiting Ridge View Raptors football team by a score of 25-13 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Braves face the Western Christian Wolfpack (Hull, IA) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Friday, September 20. Cherokee Washington will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Wolfpack enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 35-0 non-league win over Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA).
The Raptors (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hinton (Hinton, IA). The Blackhawks enter the 1A District 1 challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Hinton ran past Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA), 47-7, in a non-league challenge.
