The Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) football trounced the visiting Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), 57-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Cardinals now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winston-Salem Prep for a 1A/2A Conference A outing on Friday, September 20. Corvian Community will clash with a Phoenix squad coming off a 25-22 non-league loss to Varsity Opponent (, ). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Garinger drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Butler (Matthews, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Southwestern 4A outing on Friday, September 20. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 0-4. Butler lost 27-19 in their recent non-league outing against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
