McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Freeman Falcons (Adams, NE), 64-46 in a non-league battle.

With the win, McCool Junction advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to East Butler (Brainard, NE) to play the Tigers in a D1 District 6 (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 20. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 2-1. East Butler won 56-14 in their recent non-league battle against Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE)

The Falcons now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Lourdes Central Catholic for a D1 District 1 (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 20. Freeman will play a Knights team coming off a 40-36 non-league win over Thayer Central (Hebron, NE). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
