September 13, 2024: West Blocton, AL 35184 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the West Blocton Tigers (West Blocton, AL) and the visiting Holt Ironmen (Holt, AL), witnessed West Blocton's football squad wallop Holt by a tally of 39-0.
The Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL). The Tigers enter the 4A Region 4 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Oak Grove was trounced by Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, AL), 41-7, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Ironmen battle the Bibb County Choctaws (Centreville, AL) in a 4A Region 4 contest, on Friday, September 20. Holt will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Choctaws enter the contest with a 3-1 record after their 6-0 league win over American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL).
