September 13, 2024: Wilmington, DE 19808 Mount Pleasant Green Knights (Wilmington, DE) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host McKean Highlanders (Wilmington, DE), 20-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mount Pleasant advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Green Knights travel to Newark (Newark, DE) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 28. The Yellowjackets go into the battle with a record of 0-2.
The Highlanders now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Elizabeth for a 1A District 1 battle on Saturday, September 21. McKean will play a Vikings team coming off a 46-28 non-league loss to Indian River (Dagsboro, DE). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.
