Indiana High School Football - Washington loses to Mt. Vernon

September 13, 2024: Mt. Vernon, IN 47620

Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN) backers left the game thrilled Friday as they observed their football squad defeat the visiting Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN), 28-17 in a league outing.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Forest Park for a non-league outing on Friday, September 20. Mt. Vernon will clash with a Rangers squad coming off a 44-0 league win over Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN). The Rangers record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Washington drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Hatchets host Princeton (Princeton, IN) to clash with the Tigers in a Pocket - Big School outing on Friday, September 20. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 0-4. Princeton lost 38-20 in their recent non-league outing against North Daviess (Elnora, IN)
