September 13, 2024: Bussey, IA 50044 Murray Mustangs (Murray, IA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA), 52-20 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Murray advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Lamoni (Lamoni, IA) to play the Demons in a 8-Man District 8 (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 20. The Demons go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Lamoni won 64-8 in their recent league battle against Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA)
The Sabers now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Melcher-Dallas for a 8-Man District 7 (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 20. Twin Cedars will play a Saints team coming off a 86-0 league loss to Montezuma (Montezuma, IA). The Saints record now stands at 1-2.
