September 13, 2024: Monroe, IA 50170 The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs felled the visiting Nevada Cubs football team by a score of 30-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs play the Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) in a 2A District 6 challenge, on Friday, September 20. Prairie City-Monroe will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The J-Hawks go into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 35-21 non-league loss to Hudson (Hudson, IA).
The Cubs (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA). The go into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Hampton-Dumont/CAL toppled West Marshall (State Center, IA), 16-13, in a non-league challenge.
