September 13, 2024: Laurel, MS 39443 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS) and the visiting South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS), witnessed West Jones's football squad edge South Jones by a tally of 28-21.
The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The War Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Wayne County was nudged by Greene County (Leakesville, MS), 66-48, in a non-league contest.
