Illinois High School Soccer - Hononegah knocks off Amundsen
September 13, 2025: Chicago, IL 60625 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) and the host Amundsen Vikings (Chicago, IL), saw Hononegah's soccer squad knock off Amundsen by a count of 3-0.
The Indians (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Freeport (Freeport, IL). The Pretzels come into the Northern Illinois NIC-10 match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Freeport by DeKalb (DeKalb, IL), 5-1, in a non-league match.
The Vikings now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South for a non-league match on Saturday, September 13. Amundsen will meet a Meteors team coming off a 6-3 league loss to Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL). The Meteors record now stands at 4-3.
