Illinois High School Soccer - Elgin nudges Hoffman Estates
September 13, 2025: Elgin, IL 60120 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) and the visiting Hoffman Estates Hawks (Hoffman Estates, IL), saw Elgin's soccer squad hold off Hoffman Estates by a count of 2-1.
The Maroons (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL). The Chargers enter the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Dundee-Crown Lake Park (Roselle, IL), 1-1, in a non-league match.
The Hawks now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Larkin for a non-league match on Monday, September 15. Hoffman Estates will meet a Royals team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Streamwood (Streamwood, IL). The Royals record now stands at 3-3.
