Georgia High School Softball - Walnut Grove can't get by Marist
September 13, 2025: Atlanta, GA 30319 The Marist War Eagles edged the visiting Walnut Grove Warriors softball team by a margin of 7-6 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The War Eagles now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lithonia for a 4A Region 5 battle on Tuesday, September 16. Marist will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-0 league win over Clarkston (Clarkston, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-11.
With the loss, Walnut Grove moves to 7-8 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to North Oconee (Bogart, GA) to meet the Titans in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, September 16. The Titans go into the challenge with a record of 7-10. North Oconee lost 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA)
