The Perkins County Plainsmen volleyball squad (Grant, NE), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Red Cloud Warriors (Red Cloud, NE)

With the win, Red Cloud improves its record to 8-5 on the season. The Warriors host Silver Lake (Roseland, NE) to encounter the Mustangs in a D2 District 5 battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 6-5. Silver Lake lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Franklin (Franklin, NE)

Next, the Plainsmen meet the South Platte Blue Knights (Big Springs, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 16. Perkins County will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Blue Knights enter the contest with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Sedgwick County (Julesburg, CO).
