Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) and the visiting Saline Hornets (Saline, MI), observed South Lyon East's volleyball team hold off Saline by a count of 2-1.

The Cougars (16-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mott (Waterford, MI). The Corsairs enter the Lakes Valley contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Mott was tipped by Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI), 3-0, in a league contest.
