The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the host East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC), witnessed Hickory's football squad tip East Lincoln by a margin of 36-32.

In their next game, the Red Tornadoes clash with the North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 21. Hickory will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 34-29 non-league loss to Statesville (Statesville, NC).
