September 14, 2023: Cameron, NC 28326 Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) fans left the game content Thursday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), 12-7 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Union Pines improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Vikings host Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to battle the Timberwolves in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 19. The Timberwolves come into the test with a record of 2-0. Montgomery Central won 52-12 in their recent non-league test against Piedmont (Monroe, NC)
With the loss, Lee County drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to battle the Bucks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 21. The Bucks come into the test with a record of 0-3. Hoke County lost 38-0 in their recent league test against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC)
