Georgia High School Softball - Deerfield-Windsor bounces Southland Academy
September 14, 2023: Americus, GA 31709 Deerfield-Windsor Knights (Albany, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Southland Academy Raiders (Americus, GA), 6-2 in a league challenge.
The Knights now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valwood for a GIAA 3AAA challenge on Monday, September 18. Deerfield-Windsor will battle a Valiants squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Terrell Academy (Dawson, GA). The Valiants record now stands at 3-7.
With the loss, Southland Academy falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 18. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 12-2. Southwest Georgia Academy won 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Citizens Christian Academy (Douglas, GA)
