The Central Academy Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Monroe Redhawks to 1 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now have a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parkwood for a Rocky River 2A/3A game on Tuesday, September 19. Central Academy will confront a Wolf Pack team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 4-8.

The Redhawks (1-9) will now prepare for their game against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the Rocky River 2A/3A game with a 2-15 record. In their last game, Forest Hills dropped by Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
