September 14, 2023: Philadelphia, MS 39350 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) and the visiting Philadelphia Tornadoes (Philadelphia, MS), saw Choctaw Central's volleyball squad beat Philadelphia by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Choctaw Central upgrades its record to 14-10 on the year. The Warriors travel to Newton County (Decatur, MS) to play the Cougars in a Class 4 Region 5 bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 21-4. Newton County lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS)
The Tornadoes now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sebastopol for a Class 1 Region 6 bout on Tuesday, September 19.
