September 14, 2023: Watson, LA 70706 Live Oak Eagles (Watson, LA) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), 3-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Eagles battle the Plaquemine Green Devils (Plaquemine, LA) in a Division II District 4 match, on Saturday, September 16. Live Oak will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record. The Green Devils come into the match with a 2-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA).
With the loss, Hammond drops to 6-4 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Slidell (Slidell, LA) to battle the Tigers in a Division I District 5 match on Monday, September 18. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 12-1. Slidell won 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Pearl River (Pearl River, LA)
