September 14, 2023: Hiram, GA 30141 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Hiram Hornets (Hiram, GA) and the visiting Paulding County Patriots (Dallas, GA), saw Hiram's volleyball squad beat Paulding County by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Hiram upgrades its record to 10-10 on the year. The Hornets travel to Calhoun (Calhoun, GA) to play the Yellow Jackets in a 5A Area 7 bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 20-6. Calhoun won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA)
The Patriots now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they host South Paulding for a 6A Area 5 bout on Tuesday, September 19. Paulding County will play a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Woodland (Cartersville, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-8.
