Connecticut High School Soccer - Westerly toppled by Stonington
September 14, 2024: Stonington, CT 06379 Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Stonington moves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Bears host Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT) to meet the Bobcats in a Eastern Connecticut II test on Tuesday, September 17. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 5-1. Bacon Academy lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against RHAM (Hebron, CT)
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Exeter-West Greenwich for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 18. Westerly will meet a Scarlet Knights team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI). The Scarlet Knights record now stands at 1-1.
