The South Pontotoc Cougars volleyball squad (Pontotoc, MS), dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS)

With the win, Alcorn Central improves its record to 20-7 on the season. The Bears travel to New Hope (Columbus, MS) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 14. The Trojans go into the battle with a record of 10-13.

The Cougars now own a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Albany for a Class 4A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, September 17.
