September 14, 2024: Nanticoke, PA 18634 The Athens Wildcats (Athens, PA) volleyball knocked off the host Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Elk Lake for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 14. Athens will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Mountain View (Kingsley, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Greater Nanticoke Area drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Tunkhannock (Tunkhannock, PA) to clash with the Tigers in a Wyoming Valley bout on Tuesday, September 17. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 4-1. Tunkhannock lost 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Dunmore (Dunmore, PA)
