Massachusetts High School Soccer - Newton North knocks off Wellesley
September 15, 2022: Newtonville, MA 02460 Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Wellesley Raiders (Wellesley, MA), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers confront the Needham Rockets (Needham, MA) in a Bay State - Carey challenge, on Tuesday, September 20. Newton North will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Rockets enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 1-1 non-league Oliver Ames (North Easton, MA).
The Raiders now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton South for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 17. Wellesley will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 league win over Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA). The Lions record now stands at 3-0.
