The Central Cabarrus Vikings volleyball team (Concord, NC), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC)

The Cardinals (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cabarrus Charter (Concord, NC). The Huskies come into the Metro Eight 1A challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Cabarrus Charter nudged Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings encounter the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) in a South Piedmont 3A challenge, on Monday, September 19. Central Cabarrus will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Spiders come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC).
