In Thursday's league battle, the host Sun Valley Vanguards volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the East Vikings.

The Vanguards (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, PA). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Cardinal O'Hara lost by Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
