Missouri High School Volleyball - Jefferson Independent Day edged by Wheaton
September 15, 2022: Joplin, MO 64801 The Wheaton Bulldogs held off the host Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs now have a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pierce City for a non-league test on Saturday, September 17. Wheaton will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league win over Pleasant Hope (Pleasant Hope, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 7-6.
The Cavaliers (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Sheldon (Sheldon, MO). The Panthers enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Sheldon was nudged by McAuley Catholic (Joplin, MO), 2-0, in a non-league test.
